Registered name “Zip the Lip” is a sweet, funny and friendly horse. He retired sound from racing in May 2022. His last start was on May 14, 2022 and on May 29, 2022 he came into the TPR program. We did not have a spot in our retraining program so he went to a foster farm. At the time we were jam packed with horses! My dream was to train him up and compete him in the Retired Racehorse Project, but I just couldn’t make the space. Consequently, he is eligible for the 2023 RRP Makeover if anyone is interested. He came to Leighton Farm in February 2023 and I have been working with him consistently since mid-February.
He is a joy to ride with no vices. Zipper is a beautiful mover and going without shoes!

Zipper is good for the farrier and is going barefoot! He’s also well behaved for the vet and has no vices. He stands 16.1 hands and is 6 years old.
